A. Prof. Francis Eng Hock Tay obtained his Ph.D from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, in 1996. A.Prof. Tay was the founding director of the Microsystems Technology Initiative (MSTI), and had established the Microsystems Technology Specialization. He has established the Nano and Micro-Systems Cluster in the Institute of Materials Engineering and the Biomedical Devices Group in the Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology. Over 40 research papers have been published in various international journals/conferences.
